I can offer you uprated braking in the form of tried and tested, simple to fit, inexpensive kits that will improve the SAFETY and ENJOYMENT you will get from driving your Stag fast. TRANSFORM YOUR STAG'S BRAKES I now have 3 uprated brake kits to offer you much more powerful brakes: two front 4-pot ventilated disc kits and one back disc brake conversion. Also my BMW servo conversion kit to maximise the potential of these kits with reduced pedal pressure (this can be nice for standard Stag brakes too by the way). ALL MY KITS: Use calipers, pads and discs from modern production cars and spares are available from any parts factor or indeed the manufacturer's agents. Simply bolt on Come with comprehensive fitting instructions, pads, Euroquip stainless steel braided PTFE hoses & high-tensile bolts. Are available in the following finishes: Standard black paint Electroplated Specialist flouropolymer coating as used by the aviation industry and designed to withstand the rigours of heat, brake fluids, oils and salt. Choice of colours - Black, Red, Blue, Green and Silver. nb. these finish options do not apply to the 4-pot aluminium calliper kit which is only available in natural finish NO MODS ARE NECESSARY - NOTHING NEEDED IN EXCHANGE
Standard 4-Pot Caliper Kit: * No increase in turning circle * 30% more pad area than Stag calipers with centre of effort due to twin pots each side at bigger radius = approx. 40% more power and no fade with ventilated disc. * Calipers same size and weight as Stag calipers, therefore NO increase in unsprung weight. (Unlike those huge Jaguar calipers which weigh 9Kg!! -- Ugh!! Not recommended)	Rear Disc Kit Rear disc kit at £495 which uses all new parts and Datsun driveshaft/ex hub kit at £499 (These are two separate kits, see Transmission for details of the Datsun kit). * Good Front/Rear balance when fitted with my front kits * Proportioning valve available for fine-tuning F/r balance if required
Aluminium 4-Pot caliper Kit * No increase in turning circle * 40% bigger pad area than standard Stag & as on 'standard' kit at more effective radius which equates to about 50% more power and no fade * Each caliper 2Kg lighter than standard Stag which means less unsprung weight & therefore better traction, resulting in better braking, handling and tyre wear. * Aluminium caliper also dissipates heat (NB. 15" minimum size wheel needed for these calipers. I have a very nice selection of alloys available with the right offset for the Stag -- see Wheels)
