STAGS, TRIUMPH 2000/2500

The Stag was on the drawing board in the 1960's, over 40 years ago! It has been said by some purists that it was, and still is, perfect. Some of us would disagree. Sorry, but anyone who tries to tell me that we have learnt nothing in the last 40 years is a fool. Since then cars have progressed at a phenomenal rate to become marvels of modern engineering, faster, safer and more luxurious than they could have dreamed of back then. We can apply some of this knowledge and improvement to our Stags. My aim is to enhance the enjoyment you get from driving your Stag and to bring its performance and handling into the 21st century to compete with the best modern cars on the road today. PROGRESSIVE-RATE SPRINGS standard rate for first 1" of wheel travel then stiffen with compression giving anti-roll properties. Standard height or lowered as required, please select height required.

NB. Standard Height is 141/2" measured from the centre axis of the wheel to the underside of the top of the wheel arch (ie. at 12 o' clock). This is for both front and back wheels. I recommend that the front is 1/2" lower than the back. A slight forward rake looks right. Level is OK, but the back must not be lower than the front. If you want new progressive-rate front springs only, ie. retaining your old rears, then let me have the height at the back, measured as described above and I will supply you with the correct length prog-rate fronts.
